Beatriz is the Environmental Coordinator of TEGTEP in Mexico where she is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and optimizing the environmental management operational processes. She ensures we work with the highest standards of ethics and compliance and manages numerous certifications in international standards, including ISO14001: 2015 Environmental Management System and Clean Industry at Performance Level 2 of TEG and TEP.

Beatriz actively participates in developing and maintaining a culture of care and protection of the environment with the AES people and the local communities where we operate through ongoing campaigns, visiting the plant, and ensuring we inform our stakeholders of how we operate in a reliable and sustainable way.

She says, “Belonging to the great AES family has given me the opportunity to share with the community our good environmental practices through successful campaigns. We’ve educated and increased awareness on how we recycle domestic waste and rehabilitate green recreational areas and hosted environmental awareness workshops to new generations to promote the respect and care of native species in danger of extinction. The sum of all these efforts has generated positive impacts, which motivate us to continue working toward a more sustainable world."
